Fashion For Festivals

Updated: Oct 2, 2018

While music festivals are fun, they always leave you with one question: "What on earth do I wear?"

The fashion scene at music festivals are often quite subtle but everywhere you look, you will spot a great look.

Here's a quick guide to help you have one of those instagramable fashion moments:

1. Durability

Wear items that are durable and can endure the harsh conditions of a music festival.

2. Simplicity

Simplicity is key! You don't have much time to change and put a look together so you don't want any outfits that ventures into more than three pieces, shoes and a couple of accessories. You also want to be comfortable and simplicity will help with that.

3. Plan ahead

It's a music festival and things don't often run as planned but your outfits should be planned ahead. It saves you time and makes looking great so much easier.

4. Denim

Denim, denim, denim! It is durable and looks chic. It is also comfortable.

5. Earth tones

Music festivals and earth tones go hand in hand. Earth tones also don't dirty very easily, so you can live your best life without much worry.

6. Let it flow.

Flowy fabrics are to live by. You don't want to be restricted in your outfit, you want as much movement as possible. Think maxi dress and it's cousins.

7. Back-ups

Always bring along back up outfits. You are setting yourself up for failure if you bring along "just enough." Anything can go wrong, be prepared.

8. Sheer is okay

Sheer fabrics have a dual function - they show some body but they also allow your body to breathe.

9. Body, Body, Body

It's okay to show some skin at a music festival. Even though this looks great, it's really to stop you from overheating.

10. Accessories should be functional

You don't want to carry around dead weight so make sure your accessories are functional, such as hats, sunglasses, backpacks, etc.
