The Fix Canal Walk is most certainly BROKEN.

The first impression of this store is that it’s messy. That might just be the only impression you’ll have of it.

Clothes hold onto hangers for dear life. Everywhere you look, you either see clothing on the floor and if they are not already there they are certainly on their way down.

There is far too much product in this store. The space is cluttered and overwhelming. This, in combination with the fact that it looks like a disaster zone, makes the store feel cheap – like a broken down warehouse store that sells reject clothing.

The lack of sales assistants adds to the cheap feel that the store possesses. There is not a single member of staff assisting customers – they can be found huddled in the back of store unpacking boxes.

They were not assisting customers and they certainly were not unpacking boxes effectively so the question to this day will remain – what were they doing? Whatever it was, it looked like a war zone.

The point of sale felt as if it was feeling the effects of the war on good customer service. If a customer wasn’t calling on the manager, they were complaining or they were impatient because all they wanted to do was get out. The people working in this area, however, soldiered on and tried their best to deliver some sort of service.

The point of sale is also in vast contrast with throw rest of store – it is actually tidy.

The Fix Canal Walk is far from being a member of The Peace Corp – it might just be a nuclear attack on all things customer-experience related.
